Meet the Doctors
John M. DiMasi, DC, BCAO
Dr. John DiMasi received his doctorate in 1992 from Palmer College of Chiropractic, where he was also President of the Atlas Orthogonal Club and student representative for the International Chiropractors Association. Born and raised in Macomb County, Dr. DiMasi attended Chippewa Valley High School and did his undergraduate studies at Wayne State University while working as a chiropractic assistant.
Dr. DiMasi worked with many of the current chiropractic innovators, including Dr. Frederick Vogel, Dr. Weldon L. Derifield, and Dr. Roy Sweat. While working with Dr. Sweat, creator of the Atlas Orthogonal procedure, he earned his Board Certification in Atlas Orthogonal adjusting. In addition to Atlas Orthogonal, Dr. DiMasi utilizes spinal decompression, Diversified, extremity adjusting, Thompson and Cox-Distraction techniques in the treatment of his patients.
An avid fisherman, Dr. DiMasi currently resides in Macomb County with his wife and two children, and has been practicing chiropractic for nearly 20 years.
Theodore M. Koukles, DC
Dr. Theodore Koukles is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic where he earned his Basic Science Degree and received his Doctorate of Chiropractic. Prior to attending Palmer College, his undergraduate studies were done at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington.
Dr. Koukles has practiced in Eastpointe for over 30 years. During this time, he successfully obtained his Diplomat status in orthopedics and became a Certified Sports Physician. He has completed post graduate studies in extremity adjusting, biomechanics and spinal rehabilitation techniques. Dr. Koukles has taken his experience in sports and rehabilitative medicine and integrated it into a comprehensive health care approach. He continues to keep up with the latest techniques by attending continuing education seminars throughout the year.
He is proficient in the following techniques: Atlas Orthogonal, spinal decompression, Diversified, extremity adjusting, Pettibon, Thompson, applied kinesiology, Cox, Activator and myofascial release.
He is a member of the Michigan Association of Chiropractors, the Macomb County Chiropractic Association, the American Chiropractic Association, and the Palmer Alumni Club.
Jack D. McAlpine, DC
Dr Jack McAlpine graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in September of 1975. Undergraduate studies were received from Palmer Junior College and Delta College. Dr. McAlpine attended additional college courses in sacro-lumbar and cervical specialties, along with helping instruct doctors from around the mid-west in specific work.
After graduation, Dr. McAlpine practiced in Mexico City, Mexico and returned to the central Michigan area to practice.
Raised on a large farm in the thumb of Michigan., the McAlpine’s have 14 doctors of chiropractic in the family. Dr. McAlpine has 2 children and 3 grandchildren. He is a member of the Lutheran Church, speaks Spanish and some German. Dr. McAlpine’s interests include holistic cooking, muscle and foot reflexology, plus learning other natural healing forms.
